WALWORTH RACING: JEB WALWORTH
Jeb started racing in 2003 at age 10. He ran six races in a borrowed caged kart. Once he finished 5th with this beat up Kart and flat motor, Dad knew he could drive and decided to set him up with the right equipment. That winter Jim (Dad) and Jeb built a new Kart with top of the line equipment. 2004 Jeb won four features, had 17 top five finishes and four DNFs. This landed him 3rd overall in points at the end of the year. 2005 he had seven feature wins and 20 top fives which made him Track Champion at LimeRock Speedway. 2006 Jeb started driving Modified Midget Sprint cars. He ran the New York Modified Midget Series and Paradise Speedway Series. He won his first wingless race at age 13. He was the youngest driver in both series which was comprised of drivers of all ages. At Paradise he finished second in points. In the NYMM Series which comprised of 25 races, Jeb was in the top 3 heat finishes 66% of the time. He had 19 top 10 finishes, 12 top 5 finishes, and 5 feature wins. Most of the second half of the year, he was second in points. NYMM was a traveling series and Jeb ran at the following tracks: Freedom, Cayuga, Fulton, Hummerstone in Canada, Blackrock, Ransomville and Woodhull. After an automobile accident Jeb and his Dad had on September 26, 2006 he spent ten days in the hospital and was unable to complete the last two races. This unfortunately, landed him 5th in points...but he was named Rookie of the Year. In 2007 we decided to run Street Stocks. This is Jeb's first time racing in full size cars and again he was the youngest competitor! Out of 15 races, Jeb was the winner of 7 heats, 4 features even and walked away with 3rd in Championship points and Rookie of the Year in this class!
